Chimichurri is an uncooked sauce that originated in Argentina and Uruguay and has been part of traditional cuisine in those countries for centuries. Food historians believe that chimichurri was invented by gauchos to flavour meat cooked over open fires and it is still a popular accompaniment to grilled meats.

The Funnybones Foodservice version has been created to add maximum flavour to the prime chicken which is sourced from British farms for quality assurance.
“We’ve taken care to get both the look and the taste of this dish right and so the individual portions are ideal for prime centre of plate service ,”
explains Tom Styman-Heighton Development Chef at Funnybones Foodservice.
“As specialist wholesalers in foods from America and South America, we always ensure that our flavours are authentic to the region and this Chimichurri recipe is a prime example. The chicken should be defrosted and then baked in the oven for 30 minutes or microwaved for nine before finishing under the grill.”
The chicken comes in one portion per pouch, complete with generous quantities of the parsley-based sauce which is spiked with traditional spices. There are ten portions in each pack, and the overall pack size is approximately 500g.

Serve with a simple salad and perhaps some sweet potato fries or chunky seasoned potato wedges from Funnybones Foodservice alongside.
