Hovertravel launches ‘fly & fry’ offer with Codfather
Hovertravel has netted its customers a great deal with the Codfather Fish & Chip shop in Ryde. You can fly from Southsea to Ryde and get a fish and chip supper for just £33 per adult & £17 per child.
Loretta Lale, head of commercial at Hovertravel, said:
“We’ve combined a fresh fish and chip supper with a flight on the world’s only year-round passenger hovercraft service for a truly memorable evening. Once you’ve collected your supper you can watch the sun set from one of the many benches in Ryde or sit on the sandy beach watching the ships sail past on the Solent.”
The Codfather currently occupies premises at 14, Esplanade which, according to an unnamed source, were raided by the police in 1953 searching for saucy postcards, alleged stocked there. The only sauces on offer today are tomato, mayo, garlic & herb, tartare, BBQ, burger, sweet chilli and, of course, curry. Takeaways are available from 12 noon, seven days a week.
As you would expect from an offer this fresh it is only available from Hovertravel’s Southsea terminal.
